HVAC Assistant Manager

Role Summary

1. Responsible for taking care of preventive maintenance and breakdown maintenance of equipment / utilities at the facility.

2. Inventory management, planning and procurement of spares.

3. Ensure smooth running of audits (Internal/ External).

4. Responsible for up keeping the process equipment by coordinating with cross functional team and Preparation of summary report for process and utility equipment's.

5. Overall responsibility for functioning and up keeping the mechanical PM and breakdown maintenance activity and projects related to facility.

6. Experience in Documentation- Handling of change controls, SOP's, deviations, CAPA, training, records, Protocols etc.

7. Responsible for providing training and ensuring Good Engineering practices and to comply with audit compliance, safety and productivity.

8. Experience in handling and executing the equipment qualification and re-qualification.

9. Periodic review of Plant maintenance, Technical Documents, deviations and CAPA.

10. Experience in clean room validation and qualification

Key Responsibilities

1. To carry out planned preventive maintenance on all plant and equipment aiming to achieve

maximum plant availability with a target of zero unplanned downtime.

1. To raise communication memo for Preventive Maintenance.
2. To maintain availability of spare part of all equipment at all time and ensure no downtime due to

non-availability spare part.

1. To respond, carry out and record equipment maintenance activity effectively and efficiently.
2. Observation and rectification of equipment/ machines condition and detection of unusual

conditions in a proactive manner.

1. Ensure all equipment is operated and maintained as per manufacturer's recommendation.
2. Familiarization with the manufacturing process and related equipment.
3. To communicate with external vendor for site services/ repair.
4. Daily reporting of activities and updating any issues at work to the superior.
5. Support commissioning/ validation activities that include FAT/ SAT/ DQ/ IQ/ OQ and PQ.
6. To attend, record and conduct all trainings required as per training matrix/ schedule.
7. Generate various document procedure/protocol/report as and when required.
8. Fill log sheets/ checklist/ history card/ planner as described in the SOPs.
9. Follow the established procedures and policies of the company.
10. Participate in project activity on process optimisation, facility upgrade, or objective.
11. To propose objectives and targets on work area and comply to set timeline.
12. Participate in cost and energy management program.
13. To conduct/ participate and ensure smooth running of any audits (Internal and external) related

to QMS and EHS management system.

1. To provide feedback and ensure all the audit findings are closed within the stipulated time.
2. On routine basis to provide improvement proposal on equipment, process, or quality system.
3. To authorize the invoice, bills and vouchers for the goods received.
4. Responsible for data management, trending and periodic presentation.
5. To plan/ prepare /review/ approve the preventive maintenance activity/schedule.
6. evaluate and approve on vendor performance/ quality/ capability - vendor evaluation/

management process.

1. Takes a leadership role in department/ organizations.

2. To interview/ managing contract, sub contract works and workers.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Mechatronic Engineering or related field.

• Additional certification in HVAC systems, refrigeration, or facility maintenance is an advantage.

• Minimum 3–5 years (Technician) or 5–8 years (Engineer/Supervisor) of relevant experience in HVAC maintenance, preferably in pharmaceutical, chemical, or manufacturing environments.

• Hands-on experience in chillers, AHU, FCU, exhaust systems, compressors, and cleanroom HVAC systems.
• Exposure to GMP / GDP / GxP environments is preferred.
• Experience in preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, validation (IQ/OQ/PQ), and vendor management.
