Job Purpose

HR analytics involves the systematic collection, organization, and analysis of workforce-related data, including recruitment, talent management, learning and development, employee experience and engagement, performance, and retention/succession planning. Its goal is to identify and address people-related issues, gain insights into our people processes, and leverage people data through robust data governance and business-oriented metrics and analytics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as an internal consultant, point of contact, and trusted advisor for stakeholders both within HR and beyond at Regional and Country Level.
  • Conduct data analysis and discovery to identify trends and correlations to uncover hidden insights on the Workforce Data and People Planning.
  • Posses strong skills in data wrangling and feature engineering to extract insights from the data, tailored to use cases and business requirements provided by HR and business stakeholders.
  • Able to recommend information that should be analysed based on key indicators, works to determine root cause, and/or identify areas of concern (Hotspots) within the respective businesses.
  • Work cross-functionally as needed to enable data architecture and solutions that best meet the analytics and reporting needs of the business
  • Translate results into compelling and impactful dashboards and reports that facilitate information sharing across the organization, helping senior management grasp the narrative and trends related to their workforce.
  • Stay current and updated on new functionality, approaches, and best practices. Expand analytics to bring these new approaches to businesses to answer critical talent questions.
  • Design and implement holistic data governance processes and structures including a focus on data access and security matrix to enable stakeholders access the data they need to be successful.
  • Participate in the design and implementation of new people analytics strategies to drive insights about CIMB's workforce.
  • Ensure the development of proper training and documentation for analysis processes to ensure expanded use within the organization.
  • Manage confidentiality of data by following established security/confidentiality standards and support the accuracy of data through collaboration with data custodians.
  • Improve data integrity in collaboration with Regional Data Management and HRBPs to achieve high quality, actionable data & metrics.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, CIMB policies & procedures, guidelines and the Department's policies and procedures regionally.
  • To perform any other responsibilities / task as assigned by the management from time to time.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree, preferably in statistics, economics, mathematics, computer science or a similar field with quantitative coursework.

Relevant Work Experience

  • Demonstrated expertise in developing comprehensive data analytics tools (such as dashboards and scorecards) to enable business stakeholders to gain deeper insights into essential data.
  • Have strong programming skills in SQL, Python and familiarity in using Power Query, DAX etc.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and excellent communication and story telling skills to influence use of analytics across multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience in HR system technology plus knowledge of BI tools such as Tableau, Power Bi, Oracle HCM BI & etc.
  • Ability to work with multiple data sources and combining relevant information(during the info gathering with stakeholder on the usecases) to generate workforce insights from analysis.
  • Track record of designing actionable HR metrics and analytics to drive workforce decisions at Regional and Country Level.
  • Proven ability to perform with a high degree of accuracy and dealing with highly confidential information.
