About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the dynamic Research & Development team at Ray Tech (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd as a Field Application Engineer (2 vacant). In this full-time, on-site role based in Johor Bahru District, Johor, you will be responsible for providing technical support, training, and field services and performance trouble shooting services to our customers. Your expertise and hands-on approach will be crucial in ensuring the successful implementation and operation of our innovative engineering solutions.
What you'll be doing
- Provide on-site installation, commissioning, and maintenance support for our engineering products, machinery especially X-Ray Machine and systems
- Conduct comprehensive training sessions for customers on the use and maintenance of our equipment
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, working closely with our in-house engineering team to find effective solutions
- Gather customer feedback and insights to inform product development and improvement
- Maintain detailed documentation and records of all field activities and customer interactions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless delivery of customer projects
- Travelling opportunities
What we're looking for
- Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar field engineering role, preferably in the industrial manufacturing of machinery, X-Ray machinery (Preferable), SMT, automation or manufacturing technology sector
- Strong technical skills and hands-on experience with the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of engineering systems and equipment, especially X-Ray machine
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities, with the capacity to work independently and as part of a team
- Confident communication skills, both written and verbal of Mandarin (Mandatory), English, Bahasa Melayu to effectively liaise with customers and cross-functional teams
- Willingness to travel to customer sites as required to provide on-site support, technical support, and customer services
- Fluency in Mandarin (Mandatory), English and Bahasa Malaysia
