Full stack Developer

We're a fast-moving startup seeking a growing full stack developer who's eager to learn and contribute to complex projects.

Beyond solid technical foundations in Python/Django, Ruby on Rails, and React ecosystems, we need someone who:

Role Overview

In this remote role, you'll work closely with senior engineers while gaining increasing responsibility for feature development. You'll have opportunities to:

• Learn to translate business requirements into technical solutions with guidance
• Contribute to identifying and resolving issues before they impact the business
• Help build scalable foundations while delivering immediate business value
• Develop skills in prioritization and project management
• Participate in technical debt discussions and learn decision-making frameworks

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to features end-to-end: from implementation through testing and deployment, with support on technical design and monitoring
• Collaborate on technical decisions while learning to communicate tradeoffs and rationale
• Build maintainable code that follows established patterns and can evolve with business needs
• Contribute to technical improvements across the stack with guidance from senior team members
• Learn from code reviews and help maintain high standards for code quality and engineering practices
• Balance feature delivery with learning opportunities in system design and architecture

Required Qualifications

• 2-4 years of full stack development experience, with demonstrated ability to deliver features independently
• Experience contributing to significant projects or features
• Growing understanding of code quality, testing, and engineering practices
• Ability to learn and adapt technical approaches based on feedback and changing requirements
• Interest in development processes and tooling, with some experience implementing improvements
• Familiarity with testing frameworks across the stack and willingness to learn testing best practices
• Strong written communication skills, especially around technical questions and status updates
• Ability to maintain at least 4 hours of overlap with GMT+8 working hours
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments with support

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in collaborative development environments
• Interest in or experience with technical initiatives and process improvements
• Open source contributions or personal projects that demonstrate technical growth
• Experience building or contributing to systems in resource-constrained environments
• Curiosity about system architecture and scalability challenges
• Understanding of technical debt concepts and business impact considerations
