SALARY RANGE: RM10000-RM18000

Responsibilities:

Conduct own work tasks in accordance with company policies and practices. Timely complete all mandatory HSE training assigned for the position. Act as a role model with high level of HSE focus and consciousness whenever interacting with the organization internally or with any external cooperation partners. Ensure that direct reports know and comply with the standards, policies and rules related to HSE. Overall legal responsibility of HSE for the operation in plant. Work inclusively and collaboratively irrespective of individual differences including gender, religion, race, national or ethnic origin, cultural background, social group, disability, sexual orientation, marital status, age, or political opinion. Comply with Code of Conduct, values and the principles.

  • Overall legal & team responsible.
  • Ensure that the teams in plant are working according to principles and that they focus on continuous improvement in a planned and structured way.
  • Ensure that the teams in plant follow Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Code of Conduct guidelines.
  • Commercial responsible for operations, budgeting.
  • General reporting.
  • Commercial contact to main suppliers in the region.
  • Drive improvement of internal & external processes.
  • Main contact between the plants and division/corporate.
  • Follow up and support department manager and local organization.
  • Lead team to achieve key performance for operational performance, including HSE, costs, on time delivery and quality assurance.
  • Review and improve current workflow and establish standard operating policies and procedures. Prepare/organize documentation for board meeting on behalf of the administration.
  • Review all tax returns and ensure local compliance and also meet government requested timelines.
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax agent, corporate secretary, banks and authorities.
  • Signing of formal agreements.
  • Administrate budget process.
  • Prepare investment applications.
  • Salary increase, bonus evaluation and pension.

Qualifications and Criteria:

  • Commercial or MBA at college/university level.
  • Able to work independently.
  • Ability to lead and motivate in a matrix organization.
  • Ability to communicate and co-operate internally and externally, both verbally and in writing.
  • Structured, analytical and creative.
  • Fluency in English and Malay.
  • Working fluency in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Must be able to commute daily between Bintulu and Samalaju.
