WE'RE LOOKING FOR A HIGH SCHOOL BAHASA MELAYU TEACHER

At Sasana Waldorf School, we teach the full curriculum — just differently.

  • We teach mathematics through movement, rhythm, stories, and hands-on practice — so children feel the logic before memorizing the formula.
  • We teach history through rich narratives, drama, timelines and cultural context — so the past becomes alive and meaningful.
  • We teach geometry through form drawing, hand-drawn constructions and beauty in precision.
  • We teach geography through lived experience — starting from the local and expanding to the world, using maps, stories, culture, nature walks and observation of natural phenomena.
  • We dive deep into each subject through Main Lesson Blocks, focusing on one topic for 2-3 weeks to allow depth, continuity and engagement.

  • They thrive when learning feels alive, purposeful and rooted in real life.

We're looking for someone who :

  • Has a subject-relevant undergraduate degree and a recognized teaching qualification with at least two years teaching experience with the relevant age group.
  • Has previous experience teaching IGCSE Bahasa Melayu as a First Language and Foreign Language.
  • Can work collaboratively with colleagues, possesses good communication skills and is able to maintain a high level of organisation and professionalism in all classroom and administrative duties
  • Demonstrates a good command of written and spoken English
  • Can deliver engaging and lively learning sessions, is knowledgeable about student-centred teaching and strategies and has the ability to engage students in a deep and lively manner and foster critical thinking skills.
  • Has experience or interest in the Waldorf curriculum and is willing to engage with this aspect of the school's educational philosophy through mentoring and training.

Based in Bandar Tasik Puteri, Rawang, Malaysia, this position offers a travel allowance, medical allowance and generous discounts on school fees for children of full-time staff.
