Engineering Intern

Start Date : Preferably able to start immediately or within the near future.

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented intern to join our Engineering Department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design Support

  • Assist in drafting and updating 2D/3D CAD models for pressure vessels and heat exchangers.

  • Participate in design calculations using ASME Section VIII, TEMA, and other relevant codes.

  • Help prepare technical drawings, bill of materials (BOM), and design documentation.

  • Engineering Analysis

  • Perform basic stress analysis and thermal calculations under supervision.

  • Support material selection and thickness calculations based on design conditions.

  • Documentation & Compliance

  • Assist in compiling design dossiers for client and regulatory submission.

  • Learn to interpret and apply relevant standards (ASME, API, PED) in design work.

  • Fabrication & Inspection Exposure

  • Observe fabrication processes and understand welding procedures, NDT methods, and QA/QC protocols.

  • Participate in design review meetings and shop floor inspections.

  • Project Coordination

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including procurement, production, and QA.

  • Track design progress and update internal documentation systems.

Learning Outcomes

  • Gain practical experience in pressure vessel and heat exchanger design.

  • Understand the lifecycle of engineered products from concept to fabrication.

  • Develop proficiency in engineering software and design standards.

  • Build communication and teamwork skills in a professional engineering environment.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

  • Familiarity with CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent).

  • Basic understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and material science.

  • Eagerness to learn, proactive attitude, and attention to detail.
