Job Overview:

The Field Service Engineer will be responsible for providing technical support and assistance to customers in the field. This role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining equipment or machinery at customer sites. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills.

What You'll Do:

  • On-site Service: Perform installation, commissioning, repair, preventive maintenance, and decommissioning of automated manufacturing equipment.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose equipment failures, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime.
  • Customer Support: Act as the main technical liaison between customers and Getech, ensuring clear communication and high satisfaction.
  • SLA Management: Monitor and resolve service tickets in line with agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Testing & Documentation: Assist in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), prepare installation plans, and submit detailed service reports.
  • Upselling Opportunities: Identify and promote value-added services, spare parts, and upgrades during site visits.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with internal engineering and sales teams to deliver integrated solutions.

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Electronics / Electrical / Mechanical / Mechatronics Engineering or related field.
  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience with automated machinery, robotics, or industrial equipment.
  • Knowledge of servo motors, robots, PLCs, and motion control systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic drawings.
  • Basic PC and software installation/configuration skills.
  • Experience with industrial field service or maintenance is a plus.
  • Willing to travel locally and overseas on short notice.
