About the role

Join MindSpace Management as a Junior Legal Counsel, based in our Cheras, Kuala Lumpur office. In this full-time role, you will be an integral part of our growing Legal team, providing strategic, high-quality and pragmatic legal advice to support the company's business objectives.

What you'll be doing

  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a range of commercial contracts and legal agreements
  • Advising on regulatory and compliance matters to ensure the business operates within the relevant laws and regulations
  • Supporting the legal aspects of strategic initiatives, investments and business opportunities
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate legal risks
  • Assisting with the development and maintenance of legal templates, tools and training materials
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of legal service delivery within the organisation

What we're looking for

  • 1-2 years' post-qualification experience, ideally gained within a commercial law firm or in-house legal team
  • Strong working knowledge of commercial law, including contract drafting and negotiations
  • Familiarity with corporate and compliance matters, such as regulatory requirements and risk management
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to provide pragmatic, business-focused advice
  • A collaborative approach, with the flexibility to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Proactive problem-solving skills and a solutions-oriented mindset
