Overview

We are seeking an experienced accountant or tax compliance professional to assist in documenting and advising on local accounting, taxation, and business record-keeping workflows commonly used by small and medium enterprises in your country.

This is a project-based, part-time engagement (3 months). You will collaborate remotely with an international business systems team to help improve understanding of local compliance processes and financial data flows.

Scope of Work:

  • Review and document how sales, purchases, and expenses are captured and reported by SMEs.
  • Explain how sales data from POS or billing systems typically flows into accounting records (e.g. daily summaries, invoices, journal postings, and reconciliation steps).
  • Provide sample documents such as invoices, receipts, ledgers, and VAT/WHT forms.
  • Outline the monthly accounting cycle, compliance deadlines, and audit documentation practices.
  • Clarify how VAT and WHT are calculated, recorded, and reported in real business scenarios.
  • Participate in periodic online consultation sessions (1–2 per month) to review findings.

Requirements:

  • Licensed or certified accountant (CPA or equivalent).
  • Minimum 3–5 years of SME accounting and tax compliance experience.
  • Strong practical knowledge of:

i) Philippines: BIR rules, VAT 12%, Input/Output tax, Withholding Tax, reporting forms.

ii) Thailand: VAT 7%, PP30/PP36, Withholding Tax (PND 3/53), e-Tax Invoice practices.

  • Familiar with POS or retail systems and how transaction data connects to accounting records.
  • Proficient in one or more accounting tools (QuickBooks, Xero, QNE, FlowAccount, etc.).
  • Comfortable communicating in English and working remotely.
