Our client Khean Seng Engineering Sdn Bhd is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team

This is an exciting opportunity to lead and manage the quantity surveying aspects of construction projects, ensuring cost-effective and efficient project delivery. What you'll be doing?
  • Review and manage: Construction plans, preparing quantity requirements, and scrutinizing maintenance and material costs.
  • Liaising and advising: With site managers, clients, contractors, and advising on new strategies and improvements.
  • Documenting and preparing: Reports, budgets, risk assessments, and tender quotations.
  • Managing contracts: Overseeing contract administration, negotiation, and enforcement, and handling disputes.
  • Ensuring compliance: Ensuring all works are in accordance with contractual requirements and managing sub-contractors.
Who are they looking for?
  • QS Experience: Minimum 5 years' experience in QS role with proven expertise in quantity surveying and construction projects.
  • Educational Background: At least bachelor's degree in business studies or any related field.
  • Language Skills: Fluent in English and Malay for effective communication with diverse stakeholders and clients. Fluency in Mandarin is a plus.
  • Strong Communicator: Excellent interpersonal skills to liaise with various stakeholders and manage relationships.
  • Detail-oriented: Ability to meticulously review contracts, budgets, and project documentation.
  • Problem-solver: Skilled in resolving technical and contractual issues and providing effective solutions.
  • Proactive and adaptable: Ability to handle ad-hoc tasks and adapt to changing project requirements.
