Security Architect

The duties of the Security Architect include but are not limited to the following:

1.    Keep up to date with the latest security and technology developments.

2.    Research/ evaluate emerging cyber security threats and ways to manage them.

3.    Plan for disaster recovery and create contingency plans in the event of any security breaches.

4.    Monitor for attacks, intrusions, and unusual, unauthorized, or illegal activity.

5.    Test and evaluate security products.

6.    Design new security systems or upgrade existing ones.

7.    Use advanced analytic tools to determine emerging threat patterns and vulnerabilities.

8.    Engage in 'ethical hacking', for example: simulating security breaches.

9.    Identify potential weaknesses and implement measures, such as firewalls and encryption.

10.    Investigate security alerts and provide incident response.

11.    Monitor identity and access management, including monitoring for abuse of permissions by authorized system users.

12.    Liaise with stakeholders in relation to cyber security issues and provide future recommendations.

13.    Generate reports for both technical and non-technical staff and stakeholders.

14.    Maintain an information security risk register and assist with internal and external audits relating to information security.

15.    Monitor and respond to 'phishing' emails and 'pharming' activity.

16.    Assist with the creation, maintenance, and delivery of cyber security awareness training for colleagues.

17.    Give advice and guidance to staff on issues such as spam and unwanted or malicious emails.

18.    To undertake ad hoc assignments as required by superior from time to time.

Requirements
  • Hands-on in security projects (application security, database security, and network security)
  • Exp in AWS security, tenable, Imperva, akamai, waf
  • must be cissp and aws certified
  • 5 years of experience or more
