About the role

RALPH ADVOCATES' is seeking a talented and dedicated Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team in Kuching, Sarawak. As a part-time Paralegal, you will play a crucial role in supporting our experienced lawyers, contributing to the delivery of high-quality legal services to our valued clients.

What you'll be doing

  • Assisting lawyers in legal research, document preparation, and case management
  • Organising and maintaining electronic and physical client files
  • Coordinating with clients, court officials, and other stakeholders to ensure the smooth progression of legal matters
  • Providing administrative support, such as scheduling appointments and managing correspondence
  • Staying up-to-date with changes in relevant laws and regulations
  • Contributing to the development of legal templates, checklists, and other resources
  • Offering support in the preparation of legal briefs, contracts, and other legal documents

What we're looking for

  • Relevant qualifications: You should hold a diploma or degree in law, paralegal studies, or a related field
  • Previous experience: Ideally, you have 1-2 years of experience working as a paralegal or in a legal support role
  • Strong organisational skills: You are highly organised, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
  • Excellent communication skills: You can communicate clearly and professionally with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders
  • Proficiency in technology: You are comfortable using various legal software and office productivity tools
  • Commitment to continuous learning: You are eager to expand your knowledge and stay up-to-date with legal developments
  • Transport availability: Candidates with own transport are prioritized.
