Job Description :

  • Follow the Handbook, company policies, and SOPs while reliably carrying out instructions and using initiative when supervisors are unavailable.
  • Lead briefings, facilitate communication of priorities, assignments, and problem-solving, and ensure proper preparation according to recipes and quality standards.
  • Implement opening and closing duties, minimize spoilage and wastage, maintain clean and hygienic work areas, follow safety standards, and prepare mise-en-place.
  • Handle inventory, prepare requisitions, and coordinate with chefs for food and supply needs.
  • Know emergency procedures for fire, bomb threats, or other hotel emergencies and ensure team readiness.
  • Performance is evaluated on quality of work, communication, discipline, teamwork, grooming, self-development, customer relations, adaptability, dependability, and attitude toward others and supervision.

Qualifications :

  • Culinary diploma or certificate from a recognized culinary school preferred; relevant work experience may substitute.
  • 1–3 years of experience in a professional kitchen, preferably in hotels, resorts, or fine dining establishments.
  • Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, kitchen equipment, ingredients, and food safety standards.
  • Ability to prepare, cook, and present dishes according to recipes and quality standards.
  • Basic supervisory skills to assist and guide junior kitchen staff.
  • Excellent organizational, time-management, and multitasking abilities in a high-pressure environment.
  • Knowledge of hygiene, sanitation, and safety standards in the kitchen.
  • Creative and adaptable with a willingness to learn new techniques and cuisines.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and shifts.
  • Professional attitude, reliability, and a commitment to high-quality food production.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
