About the role

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Culinary Instructor (TVET) to join our team at ASIA PACIFIC PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT SDN. BHD. in Kuching, Sarawak. As a Culinary Instructor, you will play a vital role in shaping the next generation of chefs and cooks by providing high-quality vocational education and training. This full-time position offers the opportunity to share your culinary expertise and inspire students to reach their full potential.

What you'll be doing

  1. Delivering engaging and interactive culinary classes to TVET (Technical and Vocational Education and Training) students
  2. Developing and delivering curriculum, lesson plans, and assessment tools to ensure effective learning outcomes
  3. Providing hands-on training in various culinary techniques, food preparation, and kitchen management
  4. Fostering a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages creativity and innovation
  5. Assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback to help them develop their skills
  6. Staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to continuously improve the training program
  7. Collaborating with colleagues and the management team to enhance the overall quality of the culinary education program

What we're looking for

  1. Substantial experience as a professional chef or cook, with a deep understanding of various culinary disciplines
  2. Proven track record of delivering high-quality culinary training or vocational education
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students and foster a positive learning environment
  4. Strong organisational and time management skills to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
  5. Passion for education and a commitment to helping students reach their full potential
  6. Relevant qualifications in culinary arts, hospitality management, or vocational education
  7. Willing to relocate.
