Job Description

We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Senior Account Executive to manage the accounts of the company. This role involves handling the end-to-end accounting cycle — from data entry and reconciliation to financial reporting and compliance.

You will play an important role to:

  • Handle full set of accounts: journal entries, ledgers, trial balance, and month-end/year-end closing.
  • Prepare and submit statutory filings, corporate tax, and withholding tax returns.
  • Assist in liaising with auditors, tax agents, and government authorities.
  • Maintain accurate general ledger entries and ensure transactions are coded correctly.
  • Ensure timely submission of financial reports and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Record and process all financial transactions including sales, purchases, receipts, and payments.
  • Prepare accurate and timely monthly financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
  • Manage accounts payable (A/P) and accounts receivable (A/R), including billing, collections, and vendor payments.
  • Prepare taxation and e-invoicing submissions
  • Reconcile intercompany transactions and resolve discrepancies.
  • Conduct reconciliations and prepare audit schedules
  • Assist in preparation of financial statements for internal and external audit
  • Take on ad-hoc projects that expand your skills.

To be successful in this role you will need to have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Professional certifications (ACCA, CPA, CIMA) is an advantage
  • Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience in accounting, preferably in the commodities, trading, or financial services sectors.
  • Hands-on experience in month-end closing, reconciliation, SST filing, e-invoicing and general ledger management is essential.
  • Strong proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar ERP systems).
  • Strong Excel skills (advanced formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.). Solid understanding of tax regulations and financial reporting requirements.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and with external parties.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • High degree of integrity, with a commitment to confidentiality and ethical accounting practices.
  • We are looking for a Mandarin speaker, as the nature of our business and working environment requires proficiency in Mandarin.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM3, RM5,500.00 per month
