About the role

Mauceri Deli & Food' is seeking an experienced Head Waiter/Waitress to join our team in our Kuala Lumpur location. As the Head Waiter, you will be responsible for leading and managing our front-of-house team to deliver exceptional customer service and ensure the smooth running of our busy deli and restaurant.

This is a full-time position within our dynamic Hospitality & Tourism business.

What you'll be doing

  1. Providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive dining experience for all guests
  2. Supervising and coordinating the front-of-house team, including waiters and hosts
  3. Overseeing the dining room operations, including table management, order taking, and timely service
  4. Handling customer queries and complaints in a professional and responsive manner
  5. Monitoring stock levels and placing orders for supplies as needed
  6. Assisting with staff scheduling and training to maintain high standards of service
  7. Ensuring compliance with all health, safety, and food hygiene regulations

What we're looking for

  1. Significant experience as a waiter or similar supervisory role in a busy restaurant or deli environment
  2. Excellent customer service skills and the ability to lead and motivate a team
  3. Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
  4. Familiarity with food and beverage service standards and procedures
  5. Proficient in using POS systems and other restaurant management software
  6. A passion for the hospitality industry and a commitment to delivering outstanding service
