We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Account Executive to join our finance team. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate financial reporting, effective cash flow management, and compliance with accounting standards. You will also lead and guide junior accounting staff to ensure smooth daily operations and timely month-end closing.

Job Responsibilities

  • Handle full set of accounts, including preparation and reconciliation of bank statements and general ledger.
  • Prepare and report accurate Cash Flow Statements and other financial analyses to management, ensuring sufficient funds are available for operational needs.
  • Monitor receivables and ensure timely collection to support healthy cash flow.
  • Provide financial data and insights to senior management to support business decisions and achieve financial objectives.
  • Manage statutory accounts, monthly and quarterly reports, and external audits—ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
  • Ensure all accounting practices, controls, and procedures comply with applicable financial and reporting regulations.
  • Liaise with auditors, tax agents, bankers, and government authorities on audit, taxation, and financial matters.
  • Work closely with banks and financial institutions to negotiate and manage trade credit and banking facilities.
  • Lead, guide, and motivate junior accounting staff to ensure efficiency and on-time completion of all accounting tasks.
  • Carry out ad-hoc assignments as delegated by immediate superior.

Job Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience handling full set of accounts.
  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong communication skills in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin (required to liaise with Mandarin-speaking clients, vendors, and financial institutions).
  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and time management.
  • Independent, proactive, and able to meet tight deadlines.
  • Experience in leading or supervising a small team is an added advantage.
