Kuala Lumpur, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia Pantas Full time 120,000 - 180,000 per year

Job Title:

Product Manager (SaaS – B2B)

Location:

Bangsar South

Employment type:

Full-time

About the Role

We're looking for a
mid-level Product Manager (2–3 years experience)

with strong B2B SaaS exposure who can connect business, users, and engineering—and help us ship simple, intuitive products that people want to use.

You'll work closely with engineering, sales, and other teams to prioritise the right features, manage backlogs, and make data-driven decisions. You should understand what makes a good product requirement document (PRD) and be able to apply good rules of thumb when shaping product requirements.

You should also be
comfortable using AI tools

in your day-to-day work—for research, analysis,

drafting, and iteration—while still applying your own judgment and product thinking.

Why Pantas?

  • Pantas is a fast-growing tech startup founded by three Malaysians with over 30 years of combined experience in finance, hedge funds, investment banking, management consulting, software engineering, and startups. Our leadership team has a proven track record, including the successful sale of a data analytics company to Bain & Company.
  • Our investors include top-tier VCs from Silicon Valley, private equity and hedge fund investors from the US, Europe, Hong Kong, Singapore, and one of Southeast Asia's largest conglomerates.
  • At Pantas, we operate with a startup mentality — flat, fast, and AI-first. Team members have ownership over outcomes and work closely with technical and product teams to deliver measurable climate impact.

What You'll Do

Product strategy & roadmap

  • Co-own and refine the product roadmap in line with business goals.
  • Prioritise product features and initiatives using clear logic and frameworks (impact vs effort,

KPIs, risks).
- Strategise how to scale the product across markets, segments, and customer types.

Focus on
outcomes

, not just outputs: tie roadmap items to clear business and customer

impact.

Discovery & customer insight

  • Partner with sales, customer success, and support to
    dig into the "why"

behind client complaints and feature requests.
- Review customer calls, tickets, and feedback to identify patterns, root causes, and underlying needs.
- When needed, run light-weight user interviews, validation sessions, or internal stakeholder

interviews to sharpen problem definition

Backlog, sprints & delivery

  • Own and manage product backlogs and sprint backlogs.
  • Ensure user stories and requirements are well-defined, clear, and ready for development.
  • Collaborate with engineering on sprint planning, clarifications, and delivery.
  • Follow agile ways of working and continuously improve how the team plans and ships.

Cross-functional collaboration

  • Work closely with engineering, sales, customer success, design, and marketing.
  • Translate client complaints, feedback, and "feature requests" into structured product requirements and clear problem statements.
  • Coordinate across teams to ensure smooth launches, internal readiness, and customer adoption.
  • Align stakeholders around priorities and trade-offs, and communicate decisions clearly.

Data & KPIs (B2B SaaS)

Define, track, and interpret key B2B SaaS metrics, such as:

→ MRR / ARR (Monthly / Annual Recurring Revenue)

→ Revenue churn and renewal rate

→ Net revenue retention (NRR) / expansion (upsell, cross-sell)

→ Product adoption & usage (active accounts, active seats, feature usage)

→ Time-to-value and onboarding completion.

→ Lead → opportunity → win conversion rates (in partnership with sales)

  • Use these metrics and structured reasoning (who / what / where / how / why) to justify

product decisions and prioritisation.
- Form simple hypotheses (e.g. "If we build X, we expect Y change in Z metric") and review results after launch.

User experience & product quality

  • Work with design teams using Figma to shape simple, intuitive user journeys.

• Advocate for products that are easy to use without training or manuals.
- Help define what "good" looks like for a B2B SaaS product in terms of usability, value, and scalability.

Product requirement thinking (PRD "rules of thumb")

Understand the key elements and rules of thumb for a strong PRD, such as:

→ Clear problem statement and context

→ Target customer profiles and use cases

→ In-scope vs out-of-scope

→ Success metrics / KPIs

→ Acceptance criteria and edge cases

→ Dependencies and risks

Ensure PRDs and requirements (whether drafted by you or others) are clear, structured,

and actionable for engineering and aligned with product strategy.

Execution, documentation & AI usage

  • Use Jira to manage workflows, track progress, and create transparency for stakeholders.
  • Maintain structured documentation around features, decisions, and workflows.

• Use AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Notion AI, etc.) to speed up analysis, ideation, and

documentation—while validating outputs and keeping ownership of final decisions and quality.

What You'll Bring

  • 2–3 years of hands-on product management experience

, ideally in B2B SaaS.

• Professional certification in PMP / PRINCE2 / PSM / PSPO / CSM / CSPO or similar

(preferred).
- Proven experience as a Product Manager in B2B SaaS companies.
- Experience working with and coordinating cross-functional teams (engineering, sales,

design, CS, etc.).
- Strong experience with product backlogs, sprint planning, and agile ways of working.

Proficiency in:

  • Jira

(boards, workflows, backlog)
- Figma

(collaborating with design)
- Comfortable using
AI tools

in your workflow (for research, summarisation, drafting

PRDs/user stories, idea exploration, etc.) and able to apply critical thinking rather than copy-paste.
- Strong business acumen: understands that not every requested feature should be built.

• Familiarity with B2B SaaS metrics such as MRR/ARR, revenue churn & renewal, NRR,

product adoption/usage, and sales funnel conversion in collaboration with sales.
- Excellent logical thinking and structured problem-solving—able to explain why we should

or shouldn't build something.
- Good documentation and communication skills; able to explain complex topics simply.
- Growth mindset: willing to learn, open to feedback, and motivated to build great products.
- Strong stakeholder management skills: able to align different teams and confidently say

"no" or "not now" with clear reasoning.

Nice to Have

  • Experience launching or scaling B2B SaaS products or modules.
  • Experience working closely with B2B / enterprise sales teams and customer success.

• Experience conducting user interviews or usability tests.
- Experience using AI tools specifically in a product workflow (e.g. for user research synthesis, PRD drafts, backlog grooming, or data analysis).
