About the role

Join the dynamic team at KAY EVENTS & CONFECTIONERY' as a Creative Event Designer. In this full-time, office-based role, you will be responsible for designing and delivering exceptional events that capture the client's vision and exceed their expectations. Working from our head office in Kuala Lumpur, you will play a key role in elevating our events to new creative heights.

What you'll be doing

  1. Collaborate with clients to understand their event objectives and translate their ideas into innovative, visually stunning event concepts
  2. Produce detailed event plans, including layouts, vendor and supplier proposals, timelines, and budgets
  3. Manage the end-to-end execution of events, ensuring seamless coordination with the broader events team
  4. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and continuously look for ways to push the boundaries of event design
  5. Provide creative direction and support to the events team, mentoring junior designers as needed
  6. Ensure all events meet high quality standards and adhere to relevant regulations and guidelines

What we're looking for

  1. Proven experience as an event designer or in a similar creative role, with a strong portfolio of successful event projects
  2. Exceptional creativity and design skills, with the ability to translate client briefs into visually stunning event concepts
  3. Strong project management skills and the ability to juggle multiple event timelines and budgets simultaneously
  4. Experience working with event vendors and suppliers to bring event designs to life
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with clients and the events team
  6. A degree in event management, interior design, or a related creative field is preferred
