Key Responsibilities
  • Always remain stationed at the main entrance of the Hospital when not on errands.
  • Extends warm greetings to customers and offers assistance with directions, Information, and transportation.
  • Anticipate the needs of customers and acts accordingly.
  • Opens the doors of approaching vehicles at the porch and assists customers alighting from these vehicles.
  • Ensures that wheelchairs are cleaned, well maintained and available always.
  • Responds immediately to all porterage calls and chaperone patients to the respective units, wards, or departments.
  • Maintains order and cleanliness of the Concierge counter, foyer, lobby, driveway, and lobby toilets at all times.
  • Ensures that all equipment on loan to patients are properly recorded in the Register book when issued and returned.
  • Records all porterage duties performed into the logbook.
  • Assists in coordinating taxi services for customers.
  • Reports to Supervisor Concierge on duty on any health, security, or safety hazards.
  • Ensures that all duties are carried out in line with the hospital's policies.
  • Ensures that clean and proper uniform, including identity card, are always worn, while on duty.
  • Does shaving for patients going for surgery.
  • Familiarizes himself with Hospital's facilities, services and polices.
  • Handles medical items (pharmacy outpatients, inpatients pharmacy and nursing)
  • Handles non-medical items, records folder, and equipment.
  • Collects patients or items from the requesting department. Reports to the staff in-Charge at counter.
  • Performs any other duties assigned by the superiors.
  • To initiates and / or be responsible in department continues improvement efforts.
Key Requirements
  • Minimum SPM or equivalent.
  • Able to read and write Bahasa Malaysia and English.
  • Able to understand oral and written Instructions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers in the daily operations of the department.
  • Should be able to handle operate the wheelchairs and all other equipment in concierge services.
