Job Purpose

We are a growing
AI and software startup
seeking a
Part-Time Business Development Executive
to help us expand our client base and build long-term business relationships.

Your main responsibility will be to
identify, approach, and convert clients
who require AI, automation, or software development services.

You will work closely with the founder and software developer to understand client needs, communicate technical offerings effectively, and bring in new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and reach out to potential clients through online channels, networking, and referrals.
  • Pitch the company's AI and software solutions to potential clients (B2B, SMEs, startups).
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
  • Gather and document client requirements, then communicate them clearly to the technical team.
  • Assist in preparing proposals, quotations, and presentation decks.
  • Report weekly on leads, prospects, and conversion progress.
  • Provide client feedback to improve service quality and solution offerings.
  • Support marketing or outreach activities when needed (social media, digital campaigns, events).

Qualifications & Background

Minimum Requirements:

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, IT, or related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in sales, marketing, or business development (preferably in tech, software, or digital industries).
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proactive, target-driven, and confident in approaching clients both online and offline.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Preferred / Advantageous:

  • Exposure to the technology, software, or AI industry.
  • Familiarity with startup or SME environments.
  • Existing business network within Malaysia's SME or digital sectors.
  • Basic understanding of software, AI, or digital marketing concepts (training will be provided).

Compensation (Malaysia Market Range – Part-Time)

To maintain flexibility and reward performance, this position will be offered under:

Fixed Part-Time Allowance + Commission

  • RM 1,500 – RM 2,500/month (depending on hours and experience)
  • 5–10 % commission on every closed project.

Growth Path:
Upon consistent performance and as the company secures ongoing projects,
part-time staff will be prioritised for conversion into full-time roles
