About the Role

You'll be joining our R&D team working on
CRISPRBac
, a machine learning-based CRISPR guide RNA (gRNA) design platform for bacterial genome editing. This is a great opportunity to apply your coding and bioinformatics skills to an impactful real-world biotech project.

Success in this role means:

You'll help us build smarter CRISPR tools by integrating bacterial genomic data, training predictive ML models, and improving data visualization for genome editing applications.

What You'll Do

• Expand and curate bacterial genome datasets for CRISPR off-target analysis
• Train and validate machine learning models for CRISPR gRNA efficiency
• Integrate new bacterial species data into the CRISPRBac platform
• Perform genome feature extraction and functional annotation
• Build visualization dashboards and performance evaluation reports
• Collaborate with the Nuevogenix bioinformatics and molecular team

What We're Looking For

• Students in
  Biology, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Biotechnology
  , or related fields
• Basic skills in
  Python/R, Linux, Git
• Familiarity with bioinformatics pipelines and CRISPR concepts
• Curious mindset, problem-solving attitude, and eagerness to learn
