Job Overview
The Services Engineer (Power) plays a key role in ensuring the reliable operation of data center power infrastructure, including UPS systems, PDUs, and Busway installations. This position involves on-site work such as installation, testing, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting, supporting both new project implementations and ongoing client operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform installation, testing, and commissioning of UPS, PDU, Busway, and related power systems at customer sites.
- Conduct preventive maintenance and resolve technical issues to ensure maximum system uptime and performance.
- Respond to service calls and emergency breakdowns, providing timely technical support.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure all electrical works meet design, quality, and compliance standards.
- Maintain accurate service documentation, reports, and client feedback records.
- Provide training and handover support to customers after project completion.
- Work with internal teams and vendors to coordinate spare parts, system upgrades, and technical assistance.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Power Engineering.
- Minimum 4 years' hands-on experience in installation and maintenance of UPS systems, PDUs, or electrical distribution equipment.
- Familiarity with major UPS brands is highly preferred.
- Strong ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
- Sound knowledge of safety and compliance standards (IEC, local electrical codes).
- Willing to travel and perform fieldwork at customer sites.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills.
