Position Title : Copywriter (British English)

Work location: Penang - George Town

Working hours :Mon - Fri, 8.00am - 5.00pm

Type of employment :1 year Contract

Job Responsibilities

  1. Review and edit translated English reports – Ensure clarity, accuracy, and natural flow in English for materials translated by a translation agency.
  2. Create and refine marketing content – Write and edit short articles for the company's official website. This includes extracting key information from client-provided R&D materials (in both Chinese and English) and producing engaging, business-oriented copy that aligns with brand tone and objectives.
  3. Adapt AI-generated video scripts – Review and localise AI-produced English scripts for marketing or social media videos. This requires applying a conversational, culturally relevant tone, with occasional use of humour, idiomatic expressions, or light meme references where appropriate. Focus on localisation (natural adaptation for English-speaking audiences) rather than literal translation.

Job Requirements:

-Native British English speakers – Requires native-level proficiency in British English. Candidates may be from countries where British English is the primary standard, such as the UK, New Zealand, Ireland, Canada, Singapore, or Malaysia.

-B2B copywriting experience in the payments or fintech industry – Candidates should be familiar with relevant industry terminology, tone, and content strategies for business audiences.
