Manufacturing Compliance Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Compliance Engineerto lead and manage all regulatory compliance activities across our manufacturing operations.

The ideal candidate will ensure our products, materials, and processes comply with international and local regulatory standards including ISO, UL, OSHA, TUV, PSE, CCC, and other global compliance requirements.

This role will support cross-functional teams to drive continuous compliance, support audits, ensure documentation accuracy, and safeguard compliance across the supply chain.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Oversee and maintain compliance with ISO standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 etc.) and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage UL, TUV, PSE, CCC, and other product certification processes including documentation, submission, testing coordination, and renewal schedules.
• Ensure facility safety compliance with OSHA regulations and local safety requirements.
• Lead internal and external audits; prepare audit files, documentation, and follow-up actions.
• Conduct gap assessments and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
• Work with engineering teams to ensure new product designs meet regulatory and certification requirements.
• Train cross-functional teams on compliance requirements and regulatory updates.
• Maintain updated knowledge of global regulatory and compliance trends.

• Additional Compliance Responsibilities:

• Conduct material compliance surveys including RoHS, REACH, PFAS, Prop 65, TSCA, and other chemical substance regulations.

• Conduct supply chain due diligence for conflict minerals (3TG, cobalt, or extended mineral compliance).
• Generate, review, and update Certificates of Conformance (CoC), Declarations of Conformity (DoC), and Certificates of Analysis (CoA) for internal and customer requirements.
• Verify supplier documentation and compliance declarations to ensure full traceability and regulatory alignment.
• Collaborate with procurement and suppliers to ensure continuous supply chain compliance and risk mitigation.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related field.

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in manufacturing compliance, regulatory affairs, or quality engineering.

• Strong knowledge of ISO, UL, OSHA, TUV, PSE, CCC, RoHS, REACH, PFAS, Prop 65, TSCA, and other regulatory frameworks.

• Experience with auditing, certification processes, and supply chain compliance assessments.

• Strong analytical, documentation, and data interpretation skills.

• Good communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.

• Ability to manage tasks independently and work under tight timelines.

• Certifications such as Lead Auditor, Lean Six Sigma, or specialized compliance training are an advantage.
