Account Assistant is responsible for providing support to the accounting team by performing a variety of administrative and clerical tasks. This includes maintaining financial records, processing transactions, assisting with payroll, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and has a strong understanding of basic accounting principles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Double check account entries recorded in the system.
  • Issue and verify sales invoices and payment vouchers.
  • Double check supplier invoice tally.
  • Follow up payment and confirmation of payment received.
  • Record account transactions in company system.
  • Perform any other ad hoc task assigned by superior.
  • Verify and reconcile invoices, receipts, and payments.
  • Prepare and issue invoices to clients and vendors.
  • Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers, journals, and invoices.
  • Ensure all financial documents are accurately filed and easily accessible.
  • Assist in preparing financial statements and reports.

Job Requirements

  • Diploma in Accounting/ Finance or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year of working experience in related field.
  • Proficiency in bookkeeping programs and accounting software.
  • High level of integrity and trustworthiness.
  • Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of bookkeeping principles and Double entry.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., ACCA, CPA) are a plus but not always required.
