Job description

  1. Build and assemble machines or mechanical components according to requirements.
  2. Inspect machines, engines, etc & run diagnostic tests to discover functionality issues.
  3. Troubleshoot reported problems and resolve them in a timely manner.
  4. Perform thorough maintenance on machinery, equipment and systems.
  5. Ensuring the work area/bay is always clean and all jobs are properly carried out and completed on time.
  6. Ensure the safety and cleanliness of the machine before, during and after service or repair.
  7. Ensure the service tools allocated are well maintained and kept in a systematic manner and in good condition.
  8. To report immediately to the manager if any equipment, machine, tools etc. is found faulty or is hazardous.
  9. Train and guide assistant mechanics in identifying and analyzing machine issues/conditions.
  10. Other duties as assigned by the Manager from time to time.

Requirement

Academic

· Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification in Heavy Equipment or Diesel Mechanics is advantageous

· Technical certification in heavy machinery mechanics, diesel mechanics, or a related field is preferred.

Experience

· years of experience in maintaining and repairing heavy machinery, such as bulldozers, excavators, wheel loader, drilling machine, forklifts, or similar equipment.

Skill Set


• Strong mechanical aptitude with a thorough understanding of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical components.


• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.


• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.


• Work is typically performed in a workshop or on-site, often in outdoor settings with exposure to various weather conditions.


• Willing to work long hours when required, can work independently, and have a high sense of responsibility.


• Requires lifting heavy objects, standing, bending, and working in confined spaces. Must be able to handle physically demanding tasks.


• Able to prioritize tasks effectively and swiftly plan for changing workload needs.


• May require working shifts, including nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.


• Result-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines.
