Management Trainee Marketing

As a Marketing & External Communication Trainee (6 Months), you will support the department's operations and initiatives. This role provides exposure to end-to-end marketing coordination, event preparation, communication support, and social media management. It is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates to gain hands-on experience in corporate marketing, communication strategy, and stakeholder engagement within a dynamic environment.

Marketing Operations & Coordination

• Coordinate daily marketing operations, including timelines, documentation, and internal requests.
• Communicate across departments to ensure smooth delivery of marketing initiatives.
• Maintain up-to-date marketing trackers, project folders, and shared document libraries.
• Assist in preparing monthly marketing reports and updates.

Event & Travel Pack Preparation

• Coordinate logistics and information for company events, conferences, and client visits.
• Prepare travel and event information packs (itineraries, logistics notes, briefing kits, name lists) for staff and management.
• Liaise with Procurement and external vendors for travel arrangements, catering, printing, or event support needs.
• Support on-site coordination to ensure smooth event execution with internal and external parties.

Newsletter & Content Support

• Assist in drafting and compiling content for monthly newsletters (e.g., BFA-Around highlights) under supervision.
• Gather input from various departments and ensure timely and accurate content submission.

Corporate Communication Support

• Support preparation of external communication materials such as media updates, invitation emails, and post-event appreciation notes.
• Ensure all materials align with company branding and communication standards.
• Monitor social media and website updates to ensure accuracy and relevance.

Reporting & Administrative Tasks

• Compile marketing reports and event documentation for internal records.
• Track invoices, payment requests, and vendor coordination with Procurement and Finance.
• Ensure systematic filing of all documentation, including travel memos, checklists, and quotation summaries.

Social Media & Live Event Updates

• Prepare and schedule social media posts for events the company participates in or hosts.
• Coordinate with event teams to capture photos, key highlights, and live insights.
• Post live or same-day updates on LinkedIn or internal channels to maintain visibility and engagement.
• Monitor engagement and compile key metrics (impressions, clicks, mentions) for reporting.

• 100% accuracy and timeliness in maintaining marketing trackers and shared folders.
• Acknowledge and act on internal marketing coordination requests within 24 hours.
• Submit monthly marketing report drafts on time with complete data and updates.
• Deliver complete travel/event packs at least three working days before event/delegation date.
• Initiate procurement/vendor coordination within 48 hours of instruction.
• Maintain a minimum of 90% positive internal feedback on event preparation quality.
• Gather input from at least three departments for each monthly newsletter.
• Produce first-draft communication materials within 48 hours of request, targeting 90% first-pass approval.
• Submit vendor invoice/quotation summaries within 48 hours after each event.
• Maintain 100% organized file documentation with zero missing records.
• Ensure live or same-day social media updates for every event and publish highlight posts within 24 hours.
• Track engagement metrics and include summaries in the monthly marketing report.

• Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
• Strong interest in corporate communication, branding, and social media engagement.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with content creation tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe, or similar).
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
• Team-oriented, proactive, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
