RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare and deliver engaging Mandarin language lessons to a range of secondary school classes, including setting up classroom displays.
  • Assess and mark students' work, provide constructive feedback, and maintain records of students' progress and development.
  • Research and incorporate new teaching materials, ensuring up-to-date subject knowledge, and design curriculum content tailored to the needs of secondary learners.
  • Utilize diverse learning resources and technologies, including interactive whiteboards and multimedia tools, to enhance the learning experience.
  • Serve in a pastoral role, supporting students individually through academic and personal challenges.
  • Prepare students for language proficiency assessments and external examinations.
  • Participate in and organize extracurricular activities, social gatherings, and school events to foster a community spirit.
  • Attend departmental meetings, parents' evenings, and whole-school training sessions.

REQUIREMENTS

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Mandarin Language, Education, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of teaching experience, preferably with secondary-level students.
  • Experience with the IGCSE syllabus and Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) is an advantage.
  • Prior experience working in an international school setting is beneficial.
  • Strong computer skills, excellent communication, and interpersonal abilities.
  • A passion for teaching, teamwork, and a commitment to student development.
