Team Description:

The People team drives Wego's growth by identifying, attracting and retaining world-class talent across our global offices. The team operates as strategic partners to the business, combining data-driven insights, strong stakeholder collaboration and modern technology to deliver an exceptional candidate and hiring manager experience.

Within the function, the Talent Acquisition team leads full-cycle recruitment across all departments, with a strong focus on building scalable, AI-enabled processes that support rapid growth and operational excellence.

The Role:

The Talent Acquisition Executive (Tech) will play a key role in driving hiring across Engineering, Product and Data roles for the ASEAN region. Based in Kuala Lumpur, you will manage end-to-end recruitment processes, collaborate closely with hiring managers and deliver high-quality talent pipelines across Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Singapore and Vietnam.

This role is ideal for someone who has worked both in-house and in agency environments, understands technical hiring deeply and embraces the use of AI tools to enhance sourcing, assessment and communication workflows.

What you will be working on:

• Manage end-to-end recruitment for Product, Engineering and Data roles across ASEAN markets
• Partner closely with hiring managers to understand requirements, shape job briefs and define sourcing strategies
• Use a combination of direct sourcing, networking and technology tools to identify and engage top talent
• Leverage AI tools and automation to streamline sourcing, candidate communication and data management
• Evaluate technical candidates for skill fit, motivation and culture alignment
• Manage the candidate experience from first touchpoint to offer stage, ensuring transparency and engagement throughout
• Collaborate with regional People & Talent teams to align processes, share insights and deliver consistent results
• Build and maintain market intelligence on tech talent trends, compensation benchmarks and competitor activity
• Track recruitment metrics and maintain accurate reporting within the ATS
• Support employer branding and outreach initiatives to strengthen Wego's visibility across regional tech markets

Core Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality technical talent pipelines across Product, Engineering and Data functions
• Act as a trusted partner to hiring managers, driving effective collaboration and decision-making
• Champion the use of AI and technology to improve recruitment efficiency and experience
• Maintain strong candidate relationships and uphold Wego's employer brand across ASEAN markets

Skills and experience:

• 2–5 years of recruitment experience with a mix of in-house and agency exposure
• Proven success hiring for technical roles within Product, Data or Engineering teams
• Regional recruitment experience is preferred (Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, the Philippines or Vietnam)
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and advise business leaders
• Experience using AI-enabled tools, sourcing automations or recruitment technologies
• Data-driven mindset with familiarity in using ATS systems and recruitment analytics
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative, solution-focused approach
