  • Responsible for planning and carrying out fundraising strategies to increase income from both existing and new channels.
  • The role leads efforts to build strong individual and corporate fundraising programs to meet income targets and is also directly involved in running fundraising campaigns across online and offline platforms. This includes attracting new donors, community fundraisers, and corporate partners.
  • Success in this role requires close collaboration with the Fundraising, Strategic Communications, Strategic Planning, and Operations teams to ensure that fundraising activities meet income goals and align with the organization's overall brand and messaging.
  • Work with the Head/Deputy Head of Fundraising to plan ISF strategies, programs and activities to meet MERCY Malaysia's funding targets, and contribute to MERCY Malaysia overall fundraising strategy as a member of the Fundraising Team
  • To identify areas of growth and improvement within direct marketing activities for ISF.
  • Work with the Head/Deputy Head of Fundraising to analyse all aspects of giving performance, utilising the results to improve practice, including evaluation of cost effectiveness, levels of potential and sustainability of institutional, corporates and individuals giving and income streams within the ISF framework.
  • Engagement with potential and existing donors to manage their expectations and foster a healthy business relationship.
  • Provides and reports information to management relevant to fundraising in general and ISF component in specific terms.
  • Assist in planning, monitoring and controlling of the expenditure as appropriate.
  • To use MERCY Malaysia system to record, define data segmentation and create reports on all ISF giving activity.
  • Keep up to date with best practice fundraising techniques, technologies and platforms to implement innovative ways to attract new supporters
  • Effectively manage and grow volunteers to deliver fundraising activities and campaigns, as and when necessary.
