Job Responsibilities
Based in outlet and perform phlebotomy on walk-in patients.
Check patients personal information and details before collecting specimen.
- Determine the right venipuncture method based on patient age, health etc.
- Ensure samples are stored in appropriate containers.
- Ensure optimal quality and quantity of samples.
- Label samples correctly and deliver them to laboratory for testing.
- Ensure sample are dispatched to the laboratory in a timely manner.
- Adhere to all relevant health and safety standards while working.
Qualifications
- Diploma, Degree or its equivalent.
- Must possess a valid phlebotomy certification.
- Proven experience as a phlebotomist preferably in hospital/medical centre.
- Experience with effective puncture techniques.
- Able to work during weekends, public holidays when required.
