Assisting with Animal Treatment & Examination
Restrain and calm sheep during treatment, injections, or physical examinations.
Clean wounds, bandage injuries, and provide basic treatment.
Vaccination & Medication Management
Prepare the required vaccines or medications.
- Administer vaccinations to sheep according to the schedule.
Monitor treatment effectiveness and report to the veterinarian.
Daily & Emergency Inspections
Conduct daily physical inspections of all sheep.
- Detect early signs of illness, injuries, or abnormal behaviour.
Immediately report emergency cases to the veterinarian.
Health Record Management
Prepare and update health records for each sheep.
Record vaccination dates, disease treatments, body weight, and breeding status.
Assistance During Lambing
Assist with the lambing process when it occurs.
Prepare birthing equipment and help care for newborn lambs.
Quarantine & Biosecurity Tasks
Carry out quarantine procedures for newly arrived or sick sheep.
Assist in sanitising pens and equipment to prevent infection.
Internal Training & Education
Provide basic guidance to new farmers or staff on sheep healthcare.
Assist in workshops or animal health awareness programs organised by the company.
Equipment Maintenance
Clean and properly store veterinary tools after use.
Report the need for purchasing tools or medications to management.
Support for Other Operations
Support daily farming operations when necessary, such as feeding special diets to sick sheep.
- Assist during livestock health audits by external parties (e.g., Department of Veterinary Services).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: RM2, RM3,500.00 per month
