Job Description

Job Summary: 
We are seeking for a talented individual to join our team as a Mortgage Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the mortgage loan process end-to-end including assessing credit worthiness of applicants, preparing mortgage proposals, conducting property valuation and ensuring timely approvals. You will work closely with various stakeholders within the bank and external parties such as legal firms and property agents in order to provide excellent customer service. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering exceptional results. Responsibilities:

• Assessing credit worthiness of applicants by reviewing financial statements, credit reports, employment history and other relevant information.

• Preparing mortgage proposals based on approved lending criteria and policies.

• Conducting property valuations to determine market value of properties securing the loans.

• Ensuring timely approvals and processing of mortgage applications.

• Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to each stage of the loan application process.

• Collaborating with internal departments such as underwriting, legal, and collections to ensure smooth execution of loan disbursement and repayment processes.

• Providing excellent customer service throughout all stages of the loan application and approval process.

Qualifications:

• Degree in any field from a reputable university or college.

• Minimum 2 years of experience in the banking industry preferably in mortgage lending or financing.

• Strong knowledge of lending criteria and regulations governing residential mortgages.

• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

• Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• High level of professionalism and integrity.
