Structural BIM Coordinator

About the role

We are seeking a talented Structural BIM Coordinator to join our dynamic team at LONGMOTIVE (M) SDN.BHD. in Kempas, Johor. In this full-time position, you will play a crucial role in coordinating and managing the implementation of Building Information Modelling (BIM) for our structural engineering projects.

What you'll be doing

• Coordinate and manage the BIM process for structural engineering projects, ensuring seamless collaboration between various disciplines
• Develop and maintain 3D structural models, incorporating design changes and updates in a timely manner
• Conduct clash detection and resolution, optimising the design and construction workflow
• Generate accurate 2D drawings, schedules, and other BIM-related deliverables
• Provide BIM-related training and support to project teams, fostering a collaborative BIM environment
• Continuously research and implement best practices in BIM technology and processes
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of projects

What we're looking for

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Structural BIM Coordinator or in a similar role
• Proficient in BIM software, such as Revit, and other related design and coordination tools
• Strong understanding of construction processes, structural engineering principles, and project management
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve design and coordination issues
• Proactive, adaptable, and committed to continuous learning and improvement
