Overview:

Responsible for driving occupancy and revenue for MDIS Malaysia's hostels (581 rooms) and facilities, including multipurpose halls, auditoriums, lecture theatres, seminar rooms, and classrooms. The role requires strategic leadership, proactive business development, and operational oversight to maximise revenue while maintaining excellent service standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Achieve optimal hostel occupancy and facility rental revenue (short- and long-term stays).
  2. Identify and engage corporate clients, event agencies, property agents, and travel agencies to generate business.
  3. Execute strategic action plans to meet revenue targets; monitor and report quarterly.
  4. Assist in marketing, promotion, and positioning of hostels and facilities.
  5. Represent the college at events, exhibitions, and networking opportunities.
  6. Conduct sales calls, arrange site inspections, and ensure timely client communication.
  7. Oversee lease agreements and maintain compliance.
  8. Serve as the primary point of contact for tenants on leasing and tenancy matters.
  9. Coordinate with tenants on fit-out works to ensure compliance with guidelines.
  10. Build and maintain strong relationships with tenants, potential clients, and internal teams.
  11. Conduct competitive market research to understand industry trends and set competitive rental rates.
  12. Provide reports and updates to management.
  13. Any other departmental duties as assigned by the Head of Department.

Job Requirements:

  1. A diploma or degree in Real Estate, Business, or Property Management.
  2. Proven experience in sales, business development, or property/facility leasing.
  3. Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  4. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  5. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  6. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and PowerPoint).
  7. Ability to set and achieve revenue targets.
  8. Proactive, result-oriented, and customer-focused mindset.

This position is commission based.
