This position is based in Kuala Lumpur and supports our principal practicing office in North America, a leading law firm specializing in real estate, foreclosure litigation, and bankruptcy services. As a Judicial Foreclosure Lawyer, you will work closely with practicing partners in North America, focusing on drafting judicial foreclosure complaints and ensuring compliance with legal standards. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented and strategic legal professional with strong drafting and writing skills. This role focuses on the preparation of judicial foreclosure complaints and related documents, leveraging technology to streamline processes and increase efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft and prepare judicial foreclosure complaints with high accuracy.
- Conduct thorough legal research to ensure compliance with foreclosure laws.
- Analyze case files and assess foreclosure eligibility.
- Work closely with internal teams and external legal counsel to resolve any legal complexities.
- Maintain a high standard of legal documentation and workflow efficiency.
- Utilize legal technology to enhance the speed and accuracy of drafting foreclosure complaints.
- Collaborate with the litigation team to ensure seamless case progression.
Qualifications:
- LLB or equivalent legal qualification from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in foreclosure litigation, legal drafting, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of judicial foreclosure processes and requirements.
- Excellent legal writing and research skills.
- Ability to work independently while meeting strict deadlines.
- Experience with legal document automation software is a plus.
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Detail-oriented, analytical, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Candidates familiar with US foreclosure litigation or US law (West Coast) would be an extreme advantage.
