About the role

We are seeking talented Pastry Bakers to join our dynamic team at Ajwa Bakery Sdn Bhd in Taman Melawati. As a Pastry Baker, you will play a crucial role in creating delicious and visually appealing pastries, and other baked goods that delight our customers. This is a full-time position with opportunities for growth and development within our company.

What you'll be doing

1. Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, and other baked goods according to established recipes and quality standards
2. Decorate and assemble finished products to ensure they meet our high aesthetic standards
3. Maintain a clean and organised work environment, following all food safety and hygiene protocols
4. Collaborate with the broader culinary team to develop new recipes and improve existing products
5. Assist with inventory management and ordering of necessary ingredients and supplies
6. Provide exceptional customer service and respond to inquiries or special requests

What we're looking for

1. Experience as a Pastry Baker, with a minimum of 1-2 years in a similar role (for junior position) or 3+ years (for experienced position)
2. Passion for baking and a keen eye for detail to create visually stunning pastries and baked goods
3. Strong knowledge of baking techniques, food safety standards, and industry best practices
4. Excellent time management and multitasking skills to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
5. Ability to work collaboratively with the culinary team and follow instructions accurately
6. Proficient in the use of baking equipment and tools
