As the Senior Manager (Trading Book, Global Markets) at Bank of China (M) Berhad, you will play a key role in managing Trading Book within position and risk limits set and to achieve profits target with business development plans.

This full-time position is based in our Kuala Lumpur head office.

Responsibilities

  1. Daily management of positions, risk parameters and profits of Trading Book as determined by the Head of Department.
  2. Support for quoting and pricing competitively for FX and IR products.
  3. Support market-making function to local onshore banks for FX products.
  4. Engage with Sales Team by providing financial market colors in timely manner.
  5. Keep abreast with market changes and developments within the financial sector as a whole and the commercial banking industry in particular.
  6. Ensure limits set by Management are adhered to strictly and report any breach of such limits to the Head of Department for immediate ratification.
  7. Ensure no breach of any rules, regulations, and guidelines laid down by Regulator and Bank or any other authorized body, in the course of performing the above functions.
  8. Perform any other functions as assigned by Management from time to time.

Requirements

  • Degree holder or above in banking, finance, investment, economics, accounting, or related disciplines.
  • Minimum 10-15 years of working experience (with at least 5 years of related experience as a sales dealer or trader in foreign exchange).
  • Possess a solid understanding of financial markets, well-versed in both fundamentals and technical analysis.
  • Be proficient in various Forex products such as Spot, Forward and Swap, and familiar with structure of interest rate derivatives such as IRS and CCS.
  • Conversant with Bloomberg, Reuters, FXT and other professional terminals.
  • Good work attitude with high learning ability, adaptability and pressure resistance, with strict trading discipline.
  • Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese will be preferred
