Role Overview

As a Backend Engineer, you will be the architect of our digital ecosystem — building scalable, resilient, and high-performance backend systems that power our global social products. You'll work closely with a cross-functional, multilingual team to design robust infrastructures and deliver seamless experiences to millions of users worldwide.

Job Description

  • Lead the design and development of backend services and APIs to support product features.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while ensuring system stability and scalability.
  • Collaborate with frontend engineers, product managers, and designers to define and deliver end-to-end solutions.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize performance for high-concurrency systems.
  • Continuously improve system architecture to support fast iteration and rapid user growth.
  • Implement and maintain monitoring, alerting, and performance tuning strategies for backend systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems.
  • Proficient in Go (Golang) and experienced with the Gin framework.
  • Skilled in Redis, MySQL, and relational database design.
  • Familiar with Linux environments and command-line tools.
  • Strong commitment to code quality, scalability, and security best practices.
  • Experience in social networking or audio/video streaming systems is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Mandarin (spoken, written, and reading) to collaborate effectively with cross-border teams.
