WET Deck – Poolside Restaurant

Tapas, South American & Peruvian-Inspired Cuisine

Position: Commis II

Location: W Kuala Lumpur – Full-Time, On-Site Role

WET Deck at W Kuala Lumpur is a vibrant poolside restaurant celebrated for its dynamic tapas selection and bold South American and Peruvian-inspired flavors. We are seeking a passionate Commis II to join our energetic culinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with daily food preparation and cooking operations as directed by senior chefs.
  • Prepare ingredients and execute dishes according to restaurant recipes and quality standards.
  • Ensure strict adherence to food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations at all times.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and kitchen equipment.
  • Support smooth and efficient meal production, especially during peak service periods.
  • Contribute to a positive team environment and uphold the W brand's high culinary expectations.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Food Preparation and Cooking
  • Demonstrated Culinary Skills with attention to detail
  • Knowledge of and adherence to Hygiene and safety standards in food handling
  • Strong Communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively within a team
  • Professional culinary training or relevant certification is a plus
  • Prior experience in a kitchen or hospitality environment is advantageous
