About the role
We are seeking a dedicated Employee & Industrial Relations Executive to join our team at Senheng Electric (KL) Sdn Bhd. This full-time role is based in Pandan Jaya, Selangor and will play a key part in maintaining positive employee and industrial relations within our organization.
What you'll be doing
- Work independently by providing advice on employee relations matters to Line Managers and Management in accordance with labor law regulations and Company policies.
- Hands-on coaching to Managers to address employee's behavior and performance concerns.
- Provide advice and guidance to relevant stakeholder on appropriate feedback or corrective disciplinary actions which align with company values and policies.
- Conduct domestic and technical inquiries such as gathering and analyzing facts, applying relevant laws, policies, past practices and recommend action plan to Management.
- To resolve all labor disputes and cases.
- Partner with internal audit and other investigation bodies as and when necessary.
- Facilitate and apply interventions to resolve low-risk employee disagreements, conflicts, or misunderstanding when needed.
- Responsible to review, develop existing policies, guidelines and proposed changes for improvement in overall industrial relations policies and procedures.
- In charge of Time Attendance System and follow through with the disciplinary actions based on monthly attendance records.
- Maintain required documentation including inquiries notes, proofs and reports for future reference.
- Dealing with disciplinary issues, grievances, performance improvement plans and other matters concerning employee relations and engagement.
- To partner and support the assigned operations divisions on key HR processes and initiatives.
- Generate reports and analysis as and when needed
What we're looking for
- Minimum 2 years of experience in employee or industrial relations, preferably within the retail or manufacturing industry
- Strong knowledge of Malaysian employment laws and regulations
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport with employees and union representatives
- Proficient in handling workplace investigations and disciplinary processes
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English
