Occupational Health Nurse

- Provide first aid and emergency care for workplace injuries and illnesses.
- Assess, treat, and monitor minor health issues and refer serious cases to external medical facilities.
- Maintain accurate and confidential medical records of employees.
- Assist the doctor with medications and injections as prescribed or authorized.
- Conduct health screenings, vaccinations, and routine medical examinations.
- Promote health education, wellness, and preventive care programs among employees.
- Assist in managing occupational health, safety programs, compliance, and risk management, e.g., gathering health and hazard data to prevent injury and illness.
- Ensure the clinic is well-stocked with medical supplies and equipment.
- Counsel and intervene in crisis—counseling workers about related illness and injuries, substance abuse, and emotional problems
- Participate in accident investigations and provide medical reports as needed. Maintain hygiene and safety standards within the clinic.
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse (RN) license or equivalent certification.
- Degree in Nursing from a recognized institution.
- Minimum [1] year of clinical nursing experience, preferably in occupational health or industrial settings.
- Knowledge of workplace health and safety regulations.
- Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism. Basic computer skills for record-keeping and reporting.
