BHS Lead

Job Responsibilities:

• This role is an integrated part of the project management team with broad knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and software to take ownership of overall technical scope coordination and validation of the project (internal/external).
• Project planning and control including Schedules / Specifications / Quality & HSE.
• Ensure all trade personnel, material and equipment is available to support projects.

• Presentation of the timeline, WMS, technical clarifications, logistics plans to the customer and PMC whenever required

• Steelworks :

• Ability to read structural drawings, connection details, structural steel knowledge/experience.

• Regularly inspect Ranhill's work for quality and ensure adherence to project and employers' requirement specifications.
• Collaborate and maintain positive relationship with engineers, customers, design teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with specifications, requirements, and regulations
• Follow up on all fabrication and installation job fit up, welding and inspection with consultants
• Attend and actively participate in site safety meeting, offsite meeting, site installation inspection
• Review documents and records, work with professional engineer for authorities' submission.
• Understanding and compliance with the Employers Requirements
• Prepare the checklist and have a look ahead of 4 weeks for the team to understand the scope of works involved
• Strong analytical ability, ability to quickly identify problems and provide efficient solutions.
• Structured and well-versed in documentation and reporting.
• Proficient in Autodesk AutoCAD, Navisworks Manage, Autodesk Revit
• Reviews technical documents prior to submission to customer for approval.

• Requires technical knowledge of overall steel structures, its design and operational skill, to be able to logically coordinate project with customer and the project team.

• Electrical :

• Ability to read EM Layouts based on the BHS Layout including Belt Conveyors and ICS conveyors

• Coordinate the electrical parts based on the BOQ and BOM provided by Siemens
• Knowledge about the electrical cable trunking and cable ladder drawings
• Review the quantities and specifications based on the employers' requirements
• Review the SBD scope (additional equipment) if any to be incorporated in the overall projects scope
• As a turnkey contractor able to review and answer the technical clarifications required from the customer
• Able to write the IR to request information and clarifications required for additional scope of works
• Coordinate the Electrical Panel Locations required for the BHS like LP, EP, PFC and PDP
• Site surveys required for the locations of all the electrical panels and coordinate with the customer for the same
• Panel locations for the special equipment to be determined and liaise with Siemens for the same
• Coordinate with the Logistics team for the urgency of the material required for the BHS Installation
• Knowledge about the zoning required for the LP, EP and PDP panels
• Demolition phasing plan to be prepared based on the timeline/schedule of the project
• Study the MFD and prepare the demolition phasing plan

• Incorporate the inputs from the sub-contractors for the alignment of the timeline or schedule

• Schedule/Planning :

• Ability to plan the schedule based on the employer's requirement baseline schedule

• Develop the best possible sequences depending on the site constraints, urgency, and customer requirements
• Prepare the inhouse sequences and distribute the same within the team for their guideline
• Presentation of the schedule with the relevant stakeholders and customer for approval of the installation works

• Coordinate with all the domains for preparing the timeline matching and in line with the submitted schedule to the customer

• Procurement :

• Prepare the MAF's for the conveyor support legs hardware (nut & bolts)

• Review any additional material to be ordered like spray for making good of the conveyor support legs
• Attend the Techno-Commercial meetings for the conveyor installations, demolition of the conveyors
• Review the Drawings, specifications of the safety fences for the special Equipment like VSU, Tilters.
• Liaise and follow up with the procurement team for the material to be on site based on the timeline
• Arrange the delivery of the material from the suppliers
• Sometimes arrange and follow up for the deliveries of the materials at the air side
• Review specifications of the materials required like test bags, support legs parts, hardware (nut & bolts), safety fences, etc required for the BHS.

• Accept the deliveries from the suppliers at office and handover to the site team

• Site Management :

• Review the clash analysis for the BHS with the existing/new MEP services, steelworks, and civil works

• Attend the site walk for the clash analysis, finding a resolution for the clashes or ad-hoc solutions
• Arrange and review the steelworks platform handover acceptance from the sub-contractors for BHS installation
• Prepare and arrange mock-ups for the special equipment installation like VFD's, Panels, cable trunking, check-in conveyors, etc.

• Inputs for the hoarding, logistics plan, panel location, conveyor materials to be brought at airside

• Baggage Handling System :

• Leads the technical, design, and integration process to fulfil technical standards of and the customer contract - from the contract signed till project closure.

• Communicates and coordinates with the Customer, the stakeholders, and the partners (e.g., suppliers, consultants, etc.) on technical aspects of the project.
• Defines, plans, and monitors simulation and testing of the system - ensuring that contractual obligations are fulfilled.
• Responsible with the project manager to ensure transparent and open communication of technical and commercial points within the project.
• Manages and coordinates technical interface aspects of the project, including building interfaces to the client and external suppliers.
• Co-responsible for cost (incl. cost improvement), time, and quality of the project. Evaluates the technical and financial impact of decisions.
• Liaises with the procurement team for the creation and review of detailed purchase orders, including technical specifications and scope of supply.
• Co-responsible for the requirements management process with a focus on technical    requirements, including gathering/ mapping/ traceability with stakeholders.
• Analyses requirements, defines technical specifications and assesses technical changes and overall technical and financial impact.
• Leads identification, assessment, and mitigation of technical project risks.
• Reviews technical documents prior to submission to customer for approval.
• Co-responsible for gate/sub-gate meetings points the fulfilment of technical tasks and ensure to collect technical related lessons learned.
• Co-responsible for the quality of final O&M and training documentation to customer support.
• Technical support to the site during installation, commissioning, and final testing.
• Direct involvement in the specification approval, design, production, installation, and commissioning of project execution.

Qualification & Experience

• Preferably 7-10 years experience as BHS (Baggage Handling System), infrastructure, system-works related field
• Good knowledge in mechanical & electrical
