Role: Network Engineer

Experience: 7+ yrs

Location: Kuala Lumpur

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, configure, and maintain enterprise-level network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, VPN, firewalls, and load balancers.
  • Manage virtualized environments using
    VMware
    , including virtual machines, clusters, storage, and performance optimization.
  • Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot
    cloud-based environments
    (AWS / Azure / GCP).
  • Monitor network performance and implement solutions to enhance reliability and efficiency.
  • Handle infrastructure planning, upgrades, migrations, and capacity management.
  • Troubleshoot complex network issues and provide root cause analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with security standards and implement best practices across network and cloud infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business applications and operational needs.
  • Maintain documentation, configurations, network diagrams, and operational procedures.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 7+ years of hands-on experience in
    network engineering
    .
  • Strong expertise in routing, switching, firewalls, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and load balancing.
  • Practical experience with
    virtual machines and VMware ESXi / vSphere
    .
  • Experience working with
    cloud platforms
    (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
  • Solid understanding of IT infrastructure components—servers, storage, virtualization, monitoring tools.
  • Experience with network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Nagios, or similar.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Good communication and documentation abilities.
  • Relevant certifications like CCNA, CCNP, VCP, or cloud certifications are a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with automation tools (Ansible, Terraform, etc.).
  • Knowledge of security best practices, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention.
  • Experience working in large-scale enterprise environments.
