Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform accurate set-up of dies, tools, and carrier tapes on production equipment following standard procedures.
  • Identify and resolve basic dimensional, mechanical, or process issues to minimize machine downtime and maintain production flow.
  • Conduct routine maintenance of dies and press machines while ensuring accurate documentation of tooling and press records.
  • Ensure all set-up activities comply with safety regulations and product quality standards; report abnormalities and ensure 5S housekeeping is practiced.
  • Provide guidance and training to junior technicians and assist in onboarding new team members on setup procedures and safety practices.
  • Work closely with Production, Quality Assurance, and Engineering teams to support continuous improvement and maintain high production standards.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Set-Up Technician or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and drawings.
  • Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills for identifying and resolving mechanical or equipment-related issues.
  • Effective team player with strong communication skills to interact with both technical and non-technical team members.
