Location: Puchong, Selangor
Working hours: Mon-Fri, 8.30am - 5.30pm
Contract: 2 years (convertable to permanent)
IT Technical Support Specialists ensure that computer systems and networks function effectively while providing support to end-users. They diagnose and resolve technical issues, maintain hardware and software, and guide users to enhance their overall experience with technology.
Responsibilities
- Understand and follow the technical support ticketing process and procedures.
- Complete technical tasks and assignments according to the ticketing system.
- Track ticket status to ensure SLAs (Service Level Agreements) are met.
- Prepare daily and detailed technical support reports for customers.
- Update daily and weekly status reports as required by supervisors or managers.
- Perform technical fault finding and contribute to root cause analysis and solution implementation.
- Standby for ad hoc technical support on a rotation basis.
- Conduct site visits to gather information and assist the Engineering team in preparing solutions and proposals.
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, completing checklists and reports in a timely manner.
- Complete any other tasks as assigned by the superior.
Requirements:
- Minimum Diploma in IT, Computer Science or equivalent.
- 1–2 years of experience providing frontline IT support.
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting hardware and software issues, responding to support tickets, and documenting issues systematically.
- Understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
- Knowledge of hardware components and troubleshooting techniques.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks efficiently to meet SLAs.
Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 24 months
Pay: RM2, RM4,000.00 per month
