Job Responsibilities
- Assist the Chef de Partie in daily kitchen operations, food preparation, and cooking tasks.
- Prepare ingredients, cook menu items according to recipes, and ensure consistent quality and presentation.
- Ensure all dishes are prepared and served in a timely manner.
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and organisation of the workstation.
- Follow proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures in compliance with HACCP standards.
- Assist in receiving, checking, and properly storing kitchen supplies and ingredients.
- Monitor stock levels and update the Chef de Partie on shortages or needs.
- Ensure kitchen equipment is used properly and report any malfunction or maintenance issues.
- Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service, especially during peak hours.
- Comply with all kitchen SOPs, safety guidelines and resort policies.
Additional Responsibilities
- Support and train Commis Chefs or junior staff assigned under the section.
- Assist in menu planning, new dish testing, and presentation ideas when required.
- Contribute to maintaining cost control by minimising wastage.
- Assist in monthly inventory checks and stock rotation.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Chef de Partie or Executive Chef based on operational needs.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: RM2, RM3,000.00 per month
