Job Responsibilities

  • Assist the Chef de Partie in daily kitchen operations, food preparation, and cooking tasks.
  • Prepare ingredients, cook menu items according to recipes, and ensure consistent quality and presentation.
  • Ensure all dishes are prepared and served in a timely manner.
  • Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and organisation of the workstation.
  • Follow proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures in compliance with HACCP standards.
  • Assist in receiving, checking, and properly storing kitchen supplies and ingredients.
  • Monitor stock levels and update the Chef de Partie on shortages or needs.
  • Ensure kitchen equipment is used properly and report any malfunction or maintenance issues.
  • Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service, especially during peak hours.
  • Comply with all kitchen SOPs, safety guidelines and resort policies.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Support and train Commis Chefs or junior staff assigned under the section.
  • Assist in menu planning, new dish testing, and presentation ideas when required.
  • Contribute to maintaining cost control by minimising wastage.
  • Assist in monthly inventory checks and stock rotation.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the Chef de Partie or Executive Chef based on operational needs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM2, RM3,000.00 per month
