Azure DevOps Engineer

The Opportunity.

We are seeking a
Senior Azure DevOps Engineer
to design, implement, and manage
CI/CD pipelines
and infrastructure automation for enterprise-grade data and AI workloads. The role will be part of a large-scale digital transformation initiative with a leading global consulting firm, supporting the build-out of robust and secure cloud environments for the client's
data engineering and analytics ecosystem
.

This role requires deep hands-on expertise in
Azure DevOps
,
Terraform
, and
automation scripting
, coupled with strong collaboration skills to work closely with development, infrastructure, and data teams.

The Role.

• Design, implement, and maintain
  CI/CD pipelines
  for data and AI workloads using
  Azure DevOps
  .
• Support
  infrastructure-as-code
  deployment and configuration using
  Terraform
  .
• Manage environment segregation (development, staging, production) and enforce
  access control, compliance, and deployment governance
  .
• Automate build, testing, and release processes for components such as
  Airflow, Databricks, and data services
  .
• Collaborate with data engineering teams to
  optimize deployment workflows
  and troubleshoot infrastructure issues.
• Establish
  monitoring, alerting, and logging mechanisms
  to ensure infrastructure reliability and performance visibility.
• Drive operational excellence by contributing to
  automation frameworks
  and
  continuous improvement initiatives
  .
• Ensure all deployment activities comply with
  security, audit, and cloud governance standards
  .

The Expertise.

Education & Certifications

• Bachelor's degree in
  Information Technology, Computer Science, or Engineering
  .
• Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert
  or
  Azure Administrator Associate
  preferred.
• Certifications in
  Terraform
  or
  Kubernetes administration
  are an advantage.

Experience & Background

• 5–7 years of experience
  in DevOps or cloud infrastructure engineering, with
  at least 3 years in Azure
  .
• Strong command of
  Azure DevOps, Git, and CI/CD pipeline automation
  .
• Experience supporting deployments for
  data platforms
  (Databricks, Airflow, Snowflake, or data warehouses).
• Familiarity with
  containerization and orchestration
  tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Solid understanding of
  Azure networking, identity, and security practices
  .
• Strong scripting experience with
  Python, PowerShell, or Bash
  .
• Proven background managing
  multi-environment setups and production-grade deployments
  .

Must-Have Technical Skills

• Azure DevOps (Pipelines, Repos, Boards, Artifacts)
• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM templates)
• Scripting (Python, PowerShell, Bash)
• Docker / Kubernetes orchestration
• Cloud networking, IAM, and security configuration
• CI/CD best practices for data/AI workloads

Preferred Skills

• Experience with
  Databricks, Airflow, Synapse, or other modern data platforms
  .
• Exposure to
  AWS or multi-cloud integration
  .
• Familiarity with
  monitoring and observability tools
  (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Azure Monitor).
